Namrup College Central Library

Namrup college library is one of the important component of the institution. It has a quiet and a clam surrounding ensuring a comfortable study ambience. This doubled storered building with an area of 2000sft spread over 2 floors. The ground floor accommodates the reading area having 70+ setting capacity. The library has a collection of about 12000+ books, 5 regional and national newspapers, 5 journals and 7 magazines. It has a separate section for digital library.The library is open from 9am to 4pm in all working days. Students can borrow 3 books at a time for 7 days and teaching and non teaching staff can borrow 3 books at a time for 30 days. There is a library advisory committee for effective management of the library consisting of 6 members. The library is working towards the automation of all the housekeeping operation of using SOUL2.0.

Library Rules and Regulation

Bags should be kept outside the library
Library card is mandatory to enter in the library
Books will be issued only for the period of 7 days.
After completion of the due date fine of Rs 1 per day will be charged.
Renewal is allowed for next 7 days from due date
3 books can be issued at a time
If a book is issued to the reading area it is the responsibility of the borrower to return it back without any damage.
In case any book is found lost or damage borrower has to replace it with a new one.
Journal , Magazine, Reference and Newspapers are issued only to the reading area..
