National Library Week 2025
On the occasion of National Library Week-2025 and the birth anniversary of renowned Assamese singer Zubeen Garg, Namrup College Central Library Women Studies and Development Cell, IQAC, and IIC organised a special outreach programme titled “Joy of Reading Books” at Ghinai Milanjyoti ME School on 18 November 2025. The event aimed to promote reading habits among school students, inspire them to engage with books, and strengthen the culture of learning in rural educational institutions.
. The event successfully motivated children to engage more actively with books and strengthened their interest in reading. The Book Review Competition boosted their confidence and communication skills, while the donation of books enriched the school library, ensuring better access to reading materials. The interactive sessions and motivational talks also helped create awareness about the value of books and the importance of cultivating reading habits from a young age.

Book Donation drive
The Women Studies and Development Cell, Namrup College Central Library, The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), and the Namrup College Students’ Union, organized a book donation drive titled “Let’s Donate Book” on 17th October 2025. 104 books were donated by various members of the college fraternity.
The programme represents not only an act of charity but also a cultural movement—a collective endeavour to restore the value of books in the digital age. The enthusiasm and participation of students and faculty members reflected their commitment to nurturing an environment of reading.
